BIDDER BULLY

I have seen many different ways of trying to win Penny Auctions and have heard many stories of people winning many times over what they have spent on Penny Auctions and believe some to be true and some to be false.  I would tell anyone that if you win one of your first auctions by spending substantially less than cost of the item, you have done extremely well.  As I always say, there can be only one winner and sometimes two.  The winning bidder is always a winner if he/she has spent less than the cost of the item and the website is always a winner if they have sold the item for more than it is worth.  Sometimes both the winner and the website can be a winner but that is not always the case.

So What is a Bidder Bully?

All rookies need to be aware of Bidder Bullies.  If you take on one of these bidders, you do so at your own risk.  A Bidder Bully can be one of two people.  First, it is someone who will try to control the bid from start to finish no matter how high the item goes.  The reasoning behind this is he/she might lose money on the current item they are bidding on but others will remember them and stay away from them when they are bidding on a later item.  They are looking to win more than one item and will make up the losses on a later item.  On a site like BidCactus or LetsGoBidding, it can be fairly successful.  I have seen this work extremely well on these sites.

The Second Bidder Bully is someone who comes in and tries to steal the item from the current bidder that they believe are weak.  They will not usually go after the First Bidder Bully unless they had shown some earlier weakness on another auction.  They attack a bid that has already been bid over the value of the auction.  They do this by spending 20 to 50 bids trying to take control of the auction.  I have seen this work but it can risky.  Sometimes these auctions can get out of hand and sell for 5 to 10 times the value of the item and the website is the only one who ends up happy.

If you are a ROOKIE,  I would watch before you bid and look out for the Bidder Bullies before bidding.  Also, if the site tells everyone that you just one your first item,  wait a day or 2 before bidding on another auctions.  Veteran Bidders do not like to get outbid by rookies and rookies are marked for easy prey.

Also, for your information, when I talked about the value of the auction, i mean if each bid costs $.75 and there have been 100 bids, the website has made over $75 on that auction.

GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING.

Winning at Penny Auctions

Penny Auctions are now a big hit on the internet and if you are asking yourself if it is worth your time.  That is one of the most important questions you can ask.  The purpose of this blog is to help you will, give tips to help you be successful in bidding on items you want and being successful.  There are some things you should know when bidding on Penny Auctions.  Every couple of days I will talk about different thing that will help you be successful.  Today, I will talk about things you should stay away from.

1.  I would stay away from sites that have autobidders.  I believe that sites have computerized bidders take the thought process out of the bidding process.  I would personally stay away from sites like these.  I would name some of these site but I would rather name some of the sites that I do like.

2.  I would stay away from Penny Auction site that do not limit the number of wins you can have.  If a site can have unlimited wins, there are some bidders that will try to control the site and run product up and overspend believing that they will make up the difference on the next auction.

I will be coming out with a list of the top 10 Penny Auctions but right now I would like to tell you about my favorite site - www.bidcactus.com  .  In the coming days I will tell you about the positive about this site  but it does not have autobidders, limits the number of wins in a day and a month and has plenty of action.

Every rookie should know that there are many losers but only one winner when bidding on a Penny Auction.  I would watch and study any Penny Auction site before bidding.
